In 2021 some exceptional students have joined the University and received the Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship (VCIS) – thank you for your support in helping us to recruit these bright minds.
Today, I am pleased to advise the dates for the 2022 VCIS. Valued up to $40,000 each, these scholarships are designed for high-achieving international students commencing study at the University of Sydney.
No separate application is required for the VCIS. However, to be eligible students must secure an Unconditional Offer by the following dates to meet the relevant scholarship offer rounds:
SEMESTER ONE 2022
- Round 1 – 1 September 2021
- Round 2 – 1 November 2021
- Round 3 – 20 January 2022
SEMESTER TWO 2022
- Round 1 – 1 March 2022
- Round 2 – 8 April 2022
- Round 3 – 20 June 2022

Please note that the COVID-19 temporary amendment to scholarship terms and conditions for Semester 1, 2022 has also been updated on the website. This appendix addresses the issues around remote study, onshore in-person requirements and scholarship payment.
